The Annual Pittston Tomato Festival will be held in downtown Pittston.

Over fifty thousand people will attend the four-day event that has been touted as one of the best festivals in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Delicious food, a variety of live entertainment, a parade, 5K run, games, rides, arts and crafts, bingo and of course home-grown Pittston tomatoes keep bringing an enthusiastic crowd to the festival year after year.

Don't miss the Tomato Fights, which will be held in the parking lot of Cooper's on the Waterfront Restaurant.  All proceeds will benefit local charities.

Tomato Contest

In addition to the food, entertainment, and games, an annual highlight of the Pittston Tomato Festival is the Annual Tomato Contest.

Everyone is welcome to enter his or her tomatoes at no charge in this contest.

Ribbons will be awarded in four categories:

  • Largest
  • Smallest
  • Ugliest
  • Most Perfect.
  • The contest will be held at the committee stand on Saturday.

    The Pittston Tomato Festival is a little over 1 hour North/Northeast of Philadelphia.

    The Festival is almost equal distance from both the Newark and Philadelphia Airports.  Be sure to check both cities for the best fares. 

    Flying in?  A rental car is necessary, but will open up the scope of your adventure.


    No matter where you are coming from there are quality Hotels, guest houses and B&B's everywhere.  Staying in the Pittston or Philadelphia area is the best choice.
