2014 Great Eastern Shore
Tomato Festival

The 2014 Great Eastern Shore Tomato Festival began in August 2012, the Dorchester County Historical Society held its first Tomato Festival on the grounds of the local Elks lodge in Cambridge, Maryland.

While the setting was lovely, it was obvious that this event needed room to grow.

The following year, the festival moved to The Vienna Waterfront in Cambridge, Maryland, on the banks of the beautiful Nanticoke River, and a tradition was born.

Come out for this family friendly, all day event that will entertain, enlighten, feed and delight.

Entertainment from music to children’s games and a barnyard petting zoo, heritage demonstrators, vendors and great food will keep you busy for hours.

A full schedule of events will include the Mayor’s Challenge Tomato Race, Peach Pit Spitting Contest, Watermelon Eating Contest, the Great Tomato Wars and more!!

2014 Great Eastern Tomato Festival is a fairly new Maryland Tomato Festival in an area where the Tomato presence is Historic.
